The Digital Citizenship Student Summit is a hands-on event for teams of students. In this fourth year, our comprehensive approach demonstrates how actions can impact the behaviors of self and others. Students will collaboratively create artifacts that support modeling of good digital citizenship. Privacy and legal guidelines, as well as combating cyberbullying and digital addiction will be the focus. Methods and practices for both personal actions and school wide culture will be addressed by practicing digital wellness and modeling positive online behaviors.
Privacy, Protection and Professionalism are key to the success of our digitally connected students today. We have aligned this event to the ISTE Standards for Educators and Students, and the latest research in digital citizenship. Student leadership teams should include one sponsor (administrator, counselor, student council advisor) and a team of 5-7 student leaders so personal and building action plans can be created. Digital Citizenship resources and books will be shared with each school team.
We are offering summits for high school, middle school and elementary students this year. Click the links below to learn more, and register your student leaders today!
