Registration for our six, long-term technology academies for the 2018-19 school year is now open. Each academy registration includes one-day attendance at the 2019 METC Conference, February 11-14, 2019 and has up to 3.0 graduate credit hours available (for a small, additional fee).

Technology Leadership Academy for School Leaders
The 20th annual TLA will assist in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to use technology as a tool for more effective and efficient leadership in your schools. MO Google for Education Academy
There is no question that Google is here to stay and that Google Apps for Education has changed how students learn. Never before have students had so many resources at their fingertips. The way educators learn and collaborate has also changed. If your district has gone Google, and you are feeling lost, then this GAFE Academy is for you! As a participant of this academy you will learn more than just the basics of these amazing educational tools. STEAM-ing UP STEM Academy
STEAM is everywhere! It is hard to come up with any occupation that doesn’t involve STEAM. The focus on STEM began with the notion that students need more opportunities in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math related fields. With the increased enthusiasm for Project Based Learning (PBL) these two concepts complement each other. Both STEM & PBL promote important 21st century competencies and directly connect to the ISTE Standards of Innovative Designers and Computational Thinkers. You will have the opportunity to participate in virtual field trips and regional excursions, as well as experience hands-on STEAMy activities. Library Media Specialist Academy
The LMS Academy focuses on the changing role of the Library Media Specialist in K-12 education. Today’s LMS must play the versatile role of an instructional partner responsible for ensuring that students and staff are efficient and effective users of information. The Academy will assist LMS personnel in teaching and connecting the new standards of AASL, ISTE and NETS. Learn more and register HERE.

MakerEd Academy
The MakerEd movement for educators who enjoy inventing, designing and tinkering, and believe creativity and innovation are catalysts for student engagement. Maker and design thinking experiences foster a culture of asking questions, solving problems and develop an “I can do that!” confidence in young people. You will experience a challenging and collaborative environment. You will learn the basics of making and building rough prototypes by hand using simple tools such as paper, glue, and tape, as well as experience 3D printing. Technology Leadership Academy for Teachers
The TLA for teachers will assist educators in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to use technology as a tool for more effective and efficient integration in their classrooms. Various free digital portals, applications and resources will be explored including Google and Microsoft applications and research based technology integration tools such as SAMR.
