Tuesday, July 3, 2012 It’s All About Getting Social in the Classroom

Join Stephanie for this upcoming workshop
Would you like to have a second or third teacher help support your students? Are you ready to teach in the cloud? This workshop is for those interested in connecting with their students through online, collaborative environments. We’ll explain how to use an online community to expand your teaching and support your students learning.
We also will discuss various tools that can help you make the most of peer coaching, connecting to experts, and teaching outside the four walls of the classroom. We will explore online learning communities such an Edmodo and Moodle, and then take it one step further and explore social networks such as Google+, Facebook and Twitter. Other online resources discussed include social bookmarking sites like Delicious, Symbaloo and Diigo.
Are you ready explore how to connect with students in their world and teach beyond the traditional classroom day? Sign up for July 12th’s workshop, Getting Social in the Classroom. CSD members pay $110; 1 graduate credit is available at an addition fee. Register through this link by Monday, July 9.
