Wow, the beginning of March sure doesn’t look like spring will ever arrive! However, Nancy George and I just returned from the RCET Conference in Springfield, MO where we were “sprung” into a variety of cool tools.
We are excited to bring back some wonderful ideas to share with our area school districts. Some of the great presenters were from the St. Louis area. Cindy Lane, from the Lindbergh School District shared her expertise about Google Earth and free online resources. Amy Vejraska and DeAnna Sheets from the Branson School District shared great resources for Web 2.0. Jim Tice was generous enough to share several free resources Missouri State University is offering Missouri Educators. Nancy and I learned about various “clickers” and Virtual Field Trips as well. We plan to use these great ideas and resources in our newly offered tele classes this summer. Watch for our summer technology classes in the mail or check our website the last week of April. Register early! Since many of our courses allow for University credit, they fill up fast!
