Flat StanleySeveral St. Louis area schools are participating in the Digital Flat Stanley Project  over videoconference. According to the Digital Flat Stanley Project blog, “What happens when a normal boy finds himself flattened by a bulletin board and is sent through the mail to places all across the country? Students around the USA are finding out during this fun project, based on the 1964 book written by Jeff Brown!”

Francis Howell School District has really latched onto this year-long project. Teachers have posted to the blog, check it out: http://digitalflatstanley.blogspot.com/ . FHSD teachers, keep us updated on the project throughout the year.

MAGPI is coordinating the Stanley Project, specifically, Applications Cooridinator, Heather Weisse.

kimberly-johnson.JPGWe’re really exciting to have Kimberly P. Johnson as a content provider for New Links to New Learning! Based in South Carolina, Kimberly is a dynamic speaker, children’s author, storyteller and motivater! She’s going to connect to elementary school students later in October- check back for more details later. We’ll also have dates later in the school year lined up soon. We got to know her because she presented at Cooperating School Districts’ Character Education Conference  last summer.

Kim’s F.A.S.T Track is using concepts on how to Find the Focus in a story, using Awesome Adjectives, Strong Verbs and Timely Transitions, she’ll have your writers on track in no time!!!
