As the 2006-2007 school year wraps up, our last blast of videoconferences are scheduled. Last spring, The Discovery Center in Springfield was the “it” content provider. This spring, however, the honor goes to The Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, GA. Francis Howell schools have signed up for 9 videoconferences in the month of May with them. Students will be participating in Plants and Butterflies. The neat thing about the Center for Puppetry Arts is not only are the students having a science lesson, but they are also able to do a hands-on art project- making a puppet of either a plant or butterfly (depending on the program)- along with the presenter. Very cool! Teachers- how did you like your Center for Puppetry Arts videoconference?
